1.
What does the “C” and “D” in C&D Security
stand for?
The “C” and “D” in C&D Security, stand for
the names of the company’s original owners--the Creamers and the
Derringtons, who began the business in 1959. C&D was incorporated
in 1971 as “C and D Enterprises, Inc.,” and did business
under the name “C&D Bonded Security,” until insurance
issues rendered the term “bonded” obsolete. After that, it
was simply “C&D Security.” The four original partners
have since retired, but the Derrington family still owns and controls
the organization.
2. Where does C&D Security operate?
C&D is a national security organization, with operations currently
extending to eleven states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, DC, New Mexico, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, and Virginia.
