Peter R. Derrington—President
Peter Derrington grew up in, and around, the security industry. His parents were two of the organization’s original partners, and its sole owners and operators from 1973 until 1990. Peter earned his Bachelor, and Master of Science degrees from the University of Tennessee, completing his formal education in 1976. He has worked in various senior positions, including twelve years as director of a national healthcare cost containment corporation that grossed in excess of $150 million a year. Peter assumed the presidency of C&D Security in 1991, and has since guided the company’s modernization through steady, controlled growth, shaping it from a small, local business into a highly-respected, national operation. Mr. Derrington holds Secret, Top Secret, and Key Personnel government clearances.
Debbie G. Derrington—Vice President
Debbie Derrington, a native of California, and a graduate of Fullerton College, has worked in various high-level marketing positions around the country, including over five years in marketing and sales with Decatrend Paint Corporation. Debbie assumed the vice-presidency of C&D in 1991, when she and Peter Derrington purchased the company. Presently, she serves as Vice President and Director, and is instrumental in the redesign of the company’s corporate image. Ms. Derrington holds Secret, and Top Secret government clearances.
Troy L. Thames—Executive Vice President
Troy Thames grew up in Texas, and went directly into the military from high school. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, in 1976. Troy was an Army Infantry Officer, and an instructor in numerous leadership courses. After leaving the military, Troy worked as a branch manager for Allied Security in Texas and Arizona, and later, moved to Colorado, where he went to work for C&D Security. Mr. Thames is Executive Vice President. He holds Secret, and Top Secret government clearances.
